What qualifies as a demo?
We award your initial $250 when your referral completes a demo. When your referral books a call, they'll first have a 15 min consult call with our team to make sure there's a good potential match. After this call, we'll set up a demo, and you'll be paid when that qualified demo call is complete.
How will I receive my payment for my referral?
We'll send you a VISA or Mastercard gift card via our referral and rewards platforms, Ambassador and Tango. These platforms support most countries, but if there's an issue, reach out and we'll find another solution for you.
Is there a limit to how many I can refer?
Nope! You can refer as many friends as you like, and earn up to $10,000 during this referral program period, which runs until December 31, 2026. We appreciate you sharing the Customer.io love.
*Terms and Conditions: The referrer and the referee will receive their gift incentive(s) after the referree completes a qualified demo with Customer.io. The referrer will receive an additional gift incentive if the referee becomes a Premium (annual contract) customer within 6 months of the initial call. This additional incentive will be paid out at the end of the quarter in which they became a customer. Subject to availability and Customer.io’s sole discretion, the types, amounts, and payment dates of gift incentives may vary and will be as specified in the emails sent by Customer.io to both the referrer and referee. The referral program period runs from January 1, 2026 and expires December 31, 2026. During this period, each referrer is eligible to receive up to a maximum of approximately $10,000 worth of gift incentives for referrals initiated during this referral program period. Customer.io will not honor gift incentives for inappropriate or spam referrals and will not retroactively award incentives for referrals not completed via the tracked referral link. For referrals initiated between January 1, 2026 and March 31, 2026, the referrer will receive a one-time $1,000 gift incentive for each referred company that becomes a Premium (annual contract) customer, in lieu of the standard additional Premium customer incentive described above. The initial qualified demo incentive remains unchanged. The newly referred lead will receive a $50 bonus when they complete a qualified demo with the Customer.io team. By accepting any gift incentives, you represent and warrant that your receipt and use of gift incentives is not prohibited or inconsistent with any applicable laws, regulations, or binding orders (including applicable ethics or procurement rules) and will not create a conflict of interest for your Customer.io contracting entity. If you are a government entity or other entity that is subject to special rules governing your receipt of the gift incentives, you may not use or receive any gift incentives directly from your Customer.io contracting entity unless agreed by us in writing. Unless authorized by us, gift incentives may not be used in conjunction with any other promotional or incentive offer from us or our affiliates. Any gift incentives may be voided in the event of fraud, misuse, or violation of these terms or the terms of any program pursuant to which you received the gift incentive. Gift incentives will not be applied against any sales, use, gross receipts, or similar transaction based taxes that may be applicable to you. You may not issue any press release or make any other public disclosure regarding gift incentives without our prior written consent. By participating in this referral program, the referrer and referee agree to the Customer.io Terms of Service. Customer.io reserves the right to update or change these terms and conditions at any time and for any reason, with reasonable notice where required by applicable law.
